No, you can’t see your guardian angels, so it’s easy to forget that they’re there. Especially in the times that we need to remember most.

You can help be the gentle reminder for the children in your life that our guardian angels never take their eyes off of us. Even when we’re distracted, they are vigilant. It’s not just a comforting feeling, it’s a powerful peace of mind that gives us the courage to go out into the world and do amazing things.

So, how do you convey this to children? (Besides cuddling up together with Angels on Your Pillow…)

Give examples from your past:

Looking back on some of our momentous, challenging or downright dangerous moments is probably our best bet for being able to “see” our guardian angels. You just know that you weren’t alone in those moments. Whether it was finding courage you didn’t know you had, or being in the “right place at the right time” for something special to happen, I’m sure the more you look back, the more stories you will discover. It’s important to remember and realize you weren’t alone and perhaps to pass some of those stories along.

Kids love stories!

Some of our stories might be pretty dramatic. Of course, make sure not to scare them (especially before bedtime). But by hearing about real things that happened to you, they will learn more about you and about how guardian angels work in action!

Make the message supportive:

Even if you tell tales of near misses in life and death situations, make sure the theme that comes through is that your guardian angels were there to support and protect you. They love us unconditionally from the second we’re born through every twist and turn in our journey.

Angels are not an excuse to be reckless!

They will not catch us if we are rash and careless. If you listen carefully, you’ll hear them trying to call TIME-OUT, like the angels in the book.

Remind them of the ANGEL acronym from Angels on Your Pillow.

Always
Near
God’s
Endless
Love

SHARE YOUR ANGEL STORIES!
We want to hear them too! We know angel stories come in all shapes and sizes. We’d love to hear your angel story and please include any photos or artwork.

Here is one from Trish M. in Jacksonville, FL who purchased a copy of Angels on Your Pillow for her 6 year old granddaughter Sofia who in Trish’s words, “Was kissed by an angel at birth.” Trish said, “Sofia was born with a cowlick (under her bangs) so, right there on Sofia’s pretty little forehead is where the angels kiss her.”
